Hotpoint few12, machine not filling

Before the rinse cycle the machine does not fill with cold water. The water runs straight through the machine and out into the drain and after a few minutes active and prog end lights flash but after resetting the problem begins again. The trouble shooting guide in the manual states that this indicates the machine is not filling and to check that the pipes are not twisted or blocked. We have done this and there is nothing blocking the pipes. Any ideas?

When the 'wash' cycle finishes, the machine stops at the 'rinse and spin' cycle, and the 'prewash' LED flashes.

Victor. The prewash flashing is indicating a water fill issue. Rinse uses cold water only. check for clogged inlet screen on the cold water valve, and check if there is a screen on the supply valve also. If the inlet screen is all clogged up at the valve on the washer, you can clean it with a little windex and an old soft tooth brush. gently brush away any sediment or debris. If no filters are clogged, you will need to replace the fill valve assembley.

Hotpoint Electronic 800 WM 12 Aquarius won't rinse

If it won't rinse because it won't fill, it's most probably because the cold water inlet valve is faulty. Many machines will only rinse with cold water....No cold water.....No rinse!! Not a big job.....Nomess

Water fill

if there are 2 hose connections then it is hot and cold fill. if only one hose connection, then connect to cold only.
if two hose connections, then connect at ramdom. put on rinse cycle. if hot water comes in, then connections are the wrong way round and just reverse them

NOT FILLING PROPERLY

have you got the drain pipe going up to about worktop level of machine?
if the drain just goes downwards then the water just runs out as fast as it comes in. get a sililiar situation if you put drain pipe too far down a standpipe - then a syspon forms and water drains out

Hotpoint washer Won't rinse

your cold water valve will be your problem or you've turned the water supply off, if the supply is not off put the machine on to the final rinse if it fills it will be the main rinse valve gone. The cold water valve is a double one with 2 solaniods. Unplug the machine turn water supply off remove fill hose there are 2 screws keeping the top on, remove them lift the lid off.undo the screws that keep the valve on, take note wiring and remove pull the black hoses off, replace with new one. The resistance of the valve will be around 3.4 kohms
