You are doing the reset wrong. Try doing this: Toggle the hold switch and put it back in the off position. Then press and hold the center button and the menu button simultaneously for ten seconds and the apple symbol should come up on the screen. Then it should work like normal. Hope this helps!

My ipod nano chromatic screen is frozen, and it says it's locked, but the lock switch is off, and it's been frozen for over 6 hours on 20% battery. What's going on???

I just let the ipod sit over night, and the next morning the battery was gone. So, i could plug it back in an it charged up-- it's fine now.

How do i turn my nano chromatic off

hi,

just like any other iPods, press & hold on the pause button & wait 'til the screen turns off. Just make sure you don't have it on "lock." It's the orange switch.
if you're still having difficulties, try and check your manual that comes with your iPod.
P.S don't forget to rate our answers..

thanks,

My i-pod nano chromatic 8 GB is stuck!:S

Press and hold the Menu and Centre buttons at the same time until the apple logo appears. (This usually takes between 5 and 10 seconds.)

Frozen screen

First, make sure the lock slider is in the proper position.  I know, obvious, but you'd be surprised how often this happens.
Next, slide the lock slider to locked and then back.  Then press and hold the Menu and Select (center) button for 6-8 seconds.  Try a couple times if it doesn't work the first time.  The ipod should reset and work.
If that didn't work, you can reset your ipod.  But first, try connecting the ipod to your computer and see if it goes into sync mode. If so, wait for iTunes to load and then eject your ipod in iTunes and see if it works again.
To reset your ipod, slide the lock slider to locked and then back.  Next hold the Play/Pause Button and the Menu button for 6-8 seconds.  You may have to try this a couple times.  The ipod should reset.
The last thing to do is to let your ipod discharge completely by leaving it at the frozen screen.  Once your ipod is out of battery, reconnect it to you computer or a power adapter and let it charge.  Then try to access it again or repeat the steps above.
Good luck!
