The sound on two stations (ABC and NBC) are not working and on one I am receiving a weather radio channel. I called the cable company and they said the problem is with the SAP on the television. I have tried everything I know on the remote to reset, but cannot find SAP on the remote anywhere. 1. Does the tv have SAP capabilities? 2. If so, how do I get to it? 3. If not, what else might be wrong with the sound?
SAP is often not called SAP or Second Audio Programing. What you want to change is the audio selection on your television. I don't have a Samsung TV, I have a JVC but the SAP is called just audio and then you select the options. Look for a menu selection other than SAP. If this problem does happens on all the major channels NBC, CBS, and ABC this probably isn't your problem.
If you don't hava a sap button, look for a mts button

Hello dotdeb99, Use your remote to go to the menu on your TV and scroll through the menu items, you should see the SAP feature. Then turn it off. You can also get the users manual for your TV on-line and it should have SAP instructions in it. Just remember SAP is a TV menu item, it will not be actually on the remote itself. Thank you.

I bought a Sansui tv in Dec 07 and the sound has become distorted on several channels. I have 2 other tv's in the house and the sound is crystal clear. Should I take the tv back to Sears for an exchange? I don't know how to resolve the problem myself. Thankyou
