To solve we need to determine if its the charger, the battery or the actual device. To do this first thing you need to do is try a different charger, if the phone still dosent work then you need to try a new battery, if the phone still dosent work with a new battery the problem is with the phone. If its a charger or battery problem you will need to purchase a new one. If its a phone see if you can go ahead and do a warranty exchange with your service provider, such as T-Mobile.

The key is "as soon as the phone rings". Who's ringing it? I had one of those on Packet8. I had to go to their website and get the instructions to change the time offset in the Packet8 ATA. Check with your dial tone provider for a solution. Carl

Can't find the information on the website either. It appears that packet 8 has packed up and going home.

They are owned by the 8x8 inc. They still appear to be in business.

Give the parent company a call and see if they are still in business.

1) What make and model of VOIP adapter is it? (Most all manufacturers put the manuals on their website).

2) Do you have a VOIP account for the adapter to register to?

press the "on hook" dial key. this should let you hear a dial tone. If you don't hear a dial tone, then it is probably the phone line and not the machine. You may have to call your telephone company.

First make sure that the fax button has been pushed and is llit...

The 2820 should have a handset. In order to use manual transmission (when you get to hear all the beeps and whistles) you will need to load the document then pick up the handset. then dial the number, when you hear the recieving fax tone then hit the start button.

The 2820 should also have a hook hold button pressing this will allow you to hear the dial tone and the numbers you dial along with the receiving fax tone. If you dont hear anything when you press this button then you may want to use the volume buttons to increase the volume.

Also remember that if you have not picked up the handset or pressed he hook/hold button the unit will use automatic mode, which is to say that all you will do is load the document, dial the number, and then press the start button.

can it be used with other services beside packet8

What do you mean with offline messages, i know you can hear you messages in the DV326 but i dont know you can read yours messages

Most of the audio issues happening because of the internet issue. I understand your internet speed fluxuates. Can i know your Upload speed, Network setup, cable modem make and model?
