This may be phishing.

What ever you do, do not follow any links in the e-mail, but try logging in to your gmail account as normal. If you cannot, then follow the procedure to change your password. If you can log in to your account, ignore the e-mail.

What was blocked on you phone, your gmail account, or what??? And then I can asset u in a better way!!!

I don't think it's possible to desactivate your gmail account temporary.
You still able to delete gmail from your google account services.
go to
https://www.google.com/accounts
scroll to "My products" than click on modify
you'll find an option to delete gmail definitely
