Dead battery I purchased a Sony NWZ -E438F (8GB) Digital Media Player just two weeks ago. I've only played it occasionally in the past two weeks. This morning the Player flashed a screen LOW BATTERY, please charge. The salesperson at Best Buys assured me the battery would "last for years". How can I recharge the Player?
I got my daughter the Sony NWZ-E438F and she listened to it until the battery needed recharging. It won't charge using the usb cord to the pc. It shows it is charging for about 4 seconds then says it's full. When I unplug it says to low battery, please charge. It won't come on at all.
Any ideas what to do would be appreciated.

Charge the battery using the supplied USB cable. The salesperson meant that the battery would last for years before it will no longer take a charge and need to be replaced.

Hi scotton25,
I don't know where you got the player, but you should have taken the USB cord along with it since these are unique and Sony stores are generally reluctant to sell them separately. Try searching at online stores like EBay or EForBuy and see if you can find one that suits you.
I was told by sony chat that there is no battery for sale, just repair or exchange. Put in your model and purchase date to see if you qualify for replacement, it's $29 for refurb unit or $77 to repair. Either price includes return shipping http//eservice.sony.com
take a look at the following link, you should find all the answers you might have regarding this media player. Looks like it has 'drag and drop' ability.
