If I understand you, you're observing the speaker cone moving in one direction without any input. That would say the internal amp is malfunctioning and pushing DC to the speaker. Beyond that I can't say, but it is endangering the driver.

Jensen jps10 subwoofer: ******* Noise - your subwoofer is bottoming out, means its reach the limit of the voice coil and gone a little bit beyong it's limit. So what is the solution to bottoming out?

Make sure you have the polarity of the leads correct, ++, --. If you have the leads +-, -+, it may cause the speaker to be "pulled" instead of "pushed" like it is supposed to be. If they are correct, try reversing them anyway to see if that fixes the problem. There's no real harm in reversing the leads, it just won't be as efficient and the power will have to be turned down as to not cause damage. That's another suggestion, try turning down the power, if you have an amp that is overpowered for the sub, you could push it past peak and cause the bottoming out, damaging it forever.

Sub not working after installing the jensen vm9022 deck

reinstall the factory radio use a digital volt meter to see witch wire supplies voltage when radio is turned on and off, note placement on harness then verify this wire is hooked up on the output side aftermarket harness you may have to jump it to get the maps to turn on. tip you can carefully pull unused wire from harness example (dimmer wire orange white) and move it to the position needed to keep it a clean install .

Jensen vm9022

was the unit new or was it a demo? if it was new in a box I would take it back to where you purchased it from and exchange it. some decks the code can be reset such as the case you bought a used car ect., and others you need to replace the code IC in either case you will need to contact jensen custmer service or get the technical schmatic.
