Replace light bulb in Eveready lantern

1 Answer. If it is the yellow floating lantern you have to remove the black plastic stub on the underside of the reflector using needlenose pliers to wiggle and slightly pull until it releases and the bulb will come out. This worked great! Eveready should have this as one of their FAQs.Jan. 6, 2011

What is the replacement bulb for a FP lantern model #72384

I believe you are referring to a Finbury Park lantern. The following site sells FP lanterns and bulbs. I suggest you query them with the specifics.

I hesitate to suggest other "bulb" sites as they might lack the ability to find the bulb simply by the lantern ID. If the bulb has an ID number, that would help.

Here is one such "bulb" site:

Rayovac sportsman 360 lantern

It tells you on the top of the lantern if it is the 6 volt type - you unscrew the large knob, and the base will come off when it is unscrewed completely. To change the florescent bulbs, you unscrew the small knob.

The dimmer switch will turn on and off but wont dim the lights on a chandelier. model 6681-w. tried 2 different ones with the same results.

The Leviton 6681 is a push-button rotary-type incandescent dimmer with 600Watt capacity

If you have incandescent bulbs, the dimmer should work.
If the dimmer has different color wires, try reversing the wires.
If the dimmer replaced a 3-way switch, then this is not the right dimmer.
If you have compact florescent bulbs, you need a dimmer that also dims florescent.

Link shows the Leviton 6673 incandescent and florescent dimmer

But you also need dimmable compact florescent bulbs.

Light does not come on when I open/close door, not the bulb

Good Morning:

I also substituted Floescent Bulbs for the standard bulbs. The bulbs would not light up although the relay was working. It seemed that the Florescent bulbs had a somewhat shorter neck. What I did was unplug the drive system from the outlet and then bend the metal connector in the socket so that it would come out further towards the opening of the socket. I then repluged the drive. The Floercent bulbs now have contact and are working perfectly. Simple problem with a simple solution.
