Clock not keeping correct time

Noticed this problem around time when clocks were rolled back recently
The time on clock in system tray is 1 hr behind exactly. I have checked settings, time zone etc; someone suggested that I install samurize which I did but I don't understand how that program will fix this problem(I don't have samurize loading at startup)
Bios clock seems to be same time as on clock on system tray on laptop.
Anyone have professional experience w this problem please post.
(I realize may have to change cmos battery though laptop is always plugged into ac power)
Thank you.

I have it checked now, but in a few days, it will be off by exactly 1 hr again prob. Does anyone know about samurize, how is that supposed to fix/monitor the time.
    Thanks for your help everyone.

The CMOS battery keeps the laptop configuration stored in the CMOS chip and the main battery has no effect on the CMOS.
If the date and time drift off, it indicates the CMOS battery is nearly flat and needs to be replaced.
If you had ticked the Daylight saving box in the Time Zone tab in Control Panel - Date and Time setting then the time would automatically adjust for Daylight saving.

My cell phone is 1 hr. late.; How can I set it?

Yours may be an automatically resetting clock - produced before Congress changed the dates we observe to change between standard and daylight saving time. Google the brand and model for a manual to see if it can be changed (doubtful) or "tough it out" for another few days when clocks get turned back anyway.

Oregon Scientific Model 323a--Atomic clock...the atomic clock keeps setting itself to one hour behind what time it actually is in my time zone...I mannually re-set the clock to the correct time...but when...

Make sure that the clock is set for the correct time zone and that the DST (Daylight Saving Time) function is ON. Also, although not mentioned in the manuals, these clocks will typically jump and hour ahead or behind when the batteries get weak. Replace your batteries if they are more than a year old.

Clock resetting problems

You might contact your cable provider and see if their system indeed is broadcasting this subcarrier information. If so, is their system on the correct time? You might be able to turn this feature off on your VCR. Another thing to try, is disconnect the VCR from the cable system, set the clock, and see if it stays on time. This may indicate whether it is indeed locking it's time to the cable provided time.
