Mower won't start. wrong spark plug installed now sounds like to spark at all

Joel, Recheck battery to make sure it has good charge >12 v and all battery and starter wiring,plugs,connections are clean,tight and undamaged. If you remove spark plug and engine spins freely from the key, the engine compression release or valve clearance needs adjusted. It is probable the solenoid or starter is faulty, the starter Bendix/drive may be sticking. If you can, give the starter a couple sharp raps with a hammer or bar and then try to start.

Cindy, try running with gas cap off , if it runs OK then the caps vent hole is plugged, either try and clean vent hole or replace cap. It could also be a dirty carburetor which would need torn down and cleaned/rebuilt. Check the attached links,instruction and guides, Good luck

Rocky , start by replacing spark plug and remove old gas for new.

You will need to drain the fuel tank and lines, to get rid of the wrong fuel mix. Remove the spark plug clean and dry it. Rotate the engine several times with the plug out, to get rid of some of the wrong fuel mix. Install plug, fill fuel tank with the right fuel mix and start using normal procedures. If it does not want to start, remove the plug and put a teaspoon of straight gas in the cylinder. Install spark plug and try to start unit. You may have to remove the plug more than once and put gas in the cylinder.

check for spark by pulling of the spark plug wire remove the spark plug and pull the engine over while holding the spark plug against the cylinder head

are you getting spark?is it getting fuel threw the carb

sounds like a fuel issue. make sure fuel is getting to the carb. also if theres a fuel solenoid on the carb, make sure its working.

You need to pull the spark plug out, connect the spark plug wire and ground the plug to the motor and see if you have spark. If you have spark (bright blue) then it is a fuel problem. A yellow spark is and indicator of a coil issue.

Check the gas and gas tank, you might have water in the gas.
