I think it is a VGA camera and it response less to dim light. The second reason is camera software. Try some other third party software it will definitely enhance little bit.

Make sure you hold the camera steady .It has been my experience that if you hands arent steady your going to get a blurry pictures and also it will look blurry in the LCD window.

Not common but clean laptop lid where camera is.

If still blurry ensure the driver is matched to that webcam, may be wrong driver.

Try downloading correct webcam driver from vendors site to ensure it is correct also matching Op system

no you have built up moisture inside unit. use a hairdryer to get the moisture out.
