you have to install a crack or if you have original game you have to insert the cd2 and then launch the game if the game is cracked try finding the crack on skidrow or fitgirl repacks
I have same problem as you. I couldn't solve the problem, but when appear the error box I click the next button (many times, about 40 times), and the program installing have finished finally. And I could start the game. So you have to click to next button not the cancel button!
Have you tried changing the properties of the shortcut to run in WinXP SP2 compatibility mode? Right click the shortcut, goto properties/compatibility tab, choose "WinXP SP2 compatibility mode" in the dropdown box, then click apply. This should solve your problem.
