Everytime I log to Yahoo messenger it says Yahoo messenger has encountered a problem and needs to close. What is the possible problem

it sounds like you have a corrupted operating system or an infection, make sure you download your windows updates, do a full virus scan with counterspy from www.counterspy.com download www.ccleaner.com make sure it's ccleaner, also re download messenger from http://messenger.yahoo.com the current version should be 9.0.0.2112 if that doesn't help hold windows key then push r type in chkdsk c:/f/r on xp, if vista type cmd into the search bar right click it and run as administrator then type chkdsk c:/f/r that will fix the corruption on your hard drive for the most part. you'll probably still need to re download messenger again.

This is Due to Corruption of Yahoo Messenger Set up File.Uninstall and Reinstall Yahoo Messenger and it would fix the problem.

To Uninstall,

Go to Start > Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall program > Select Yahoo Messenger and Uninstall

Try to restore your window to back date if you using window xp go to start then all programs then select accessories go to system tools and select system restore a new window appear select restore my computer to earlier time, press next then select which date you want to restore your computer, press next again, this will restore your computer to a earlier date do not worry about your data this application restore only your window settings
