I have the Samsung RS2534 side by side and I read that in order to save energy the refrigerator temperature needs to be between 35 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit and the freezer at 0 degrees Fahrenheit so I tried to make the changes but it keeps moving back to 34 for the frig and -4 for the freezer which is too cold and uses more energy.

How do I reset the temperature and get it to stay where I want it. I already tried holding down the child lock button and the temperature still moves back to 34 and 0.

Anyone fixed this?? I have the same issue with the Kenmore Elite 596.7857 series French door style unit. If I could just reset to factory default at least then it would allow me to raise have a higher temp. It appears the button is broken.

For the Kenmore, keep pushing the button and it should cycle back to the top of the temperature range.

How to rest temp controls after a power surge on a samsung rt18m6213ww/aa

First things to try:

1. Unplug the fridge and move it away from the wall. 2. Inspect the power cord for damage. Replace the power cord if it is damaged. 3. Plug the fridge back into the wall outlet. 4. Set the temperature control to the desired level. 5. Push the "Reset" button, located near the temperature control panel, to reset the temp control settings. The Reset button is usually red in color. 6. Move the fridge back to its original position.

My fridge is freezing the veges in the crisper & the milk in the door

lower (raise) temp control knop down one number at a time waiting 2 hour in between (if pointer is on 9 turn to 8 and so on.... also put a temperature gauge inside refig. to check temp, you want it as cold as possible but not freezing.

Control on door has flasing lights, water and ice has stopped working

this appears to be the door switch is either bad or disconnected and has triggered an alarm mode to the display. If the unit is cooling ok then you should remove and check the switch with a meter.

I can't get my AC to turn on. I'm house sittting, so I don't know the ropes of this AC system. The AC pad only has up and down buttons, but when I adjust them they just blink for a while and then go back...

Hi, on the thermostat there should be a door of flap that opens, pulls down to reveal more buttons such as Cool, heat, auto, off, on. Find these and they will either be switches or a touch pad. Turn it to cool and auto. You should be able to use the arrows to lower or raise the temperature at that time. It may say hold temp on it also. Set the temperature where you want it, lets say 75 and push hold temp. It should work for you now. Please let me know how it turns out or if you need more help.

'99 eddie bauer, cold air in the rear hot air in

you may just be low on freon. The rear will often work ok when low, but the front won't

The same compressor serves both front and rear systems. Check that first.

ALso, check to see if your front blend door rotates when you raise & lower the temperature.

I cannot get the oven to come on after I used the self cleaning.

Things to check- The screw in fuses, they are usually the 30 amp fuses for the oven. Next is the clock assembly, often these clocks will have the words "push for manual" or "turn for manual", this will put the clock back into the normal operating mode rather than the automatic mode. Next, you may have to remove the power and check for any burnt wires. If all checks ok, you will have to test the selector switch and oven control.
Oven temp problems: Temperature is too low possible trouble makers, blown oven fuse, bake element is out, burnt wire, oven probe clips, oven temp control, oven temp sensor.
Temperature is too high in the oven possible trouble makers, oven temp control, oven relay ( if used ), oven probe clips, oven temp sensor, shorted wire.
These oven probe clips often rust off and the oven temp probe hangs down, or touches the oven wall giving false temperature readings to the oven control.

Control pad flashing temp and all lights continuously and ice door continually cycles open and closed

Hi,
With the problems it is presenting, I would say it's very likely.
However it may take a bit of detective work to find which board is defective.

Check a part suppliers link Here for price comparison so you have some ideas.

Samsung french door fridge not working?

I had the same problem ("OF" on display and not working) and just found a fix and it worked (on SAMSUNG site). It was correctly stated that fridge is in "demo" mode. You need to push and hold POWER FREEZE and ENERGY SAVER buttons (not "Fridge button and the Power Cool buttons" as it was suggested above).
