I own a 95 Chevy Tahoe. The open door warning will not shutoff when the door is shut. I can open the door and press in the sensor on the side of the dash and it will shut off. Just not when the door is closed. What fuse controls this warning, and if I pull that fuse will it mess anything else up?
It is fuse number 9, listed as your parking lamp fuse on the side off the dash. But if u remove the fuse u will not have any parking lights or dash lights either. There should be a plastic plug in the door that sticks out just enough to push the switch in. i figured this out because i have one and my parking lights will not cut off so i had to remove the fuse and i noticed that the door alarm went off also.
I had the same problem but it happened because i changed the speakers and did not adjust the panel right....
try adjusting things so the panel can push back the
pin when u close the door...
check all ur fuses if you take them off nothing will happen. just put them back and your all good.
if u take one off and it shuts off the noise. make sure that all your lights on the dashboard still turn on. if they dont then ta dah....
