Frigidaire model FEF 355 ABJ. Heard a pop while baking at 350, circuit blew. I pulled the plug and waited an hour. Plugged it back in and got an F1 error code.

SOURCE: frigidaire code F1

Rainbow, F1 could be one of three things. The loud pop doesn't sound good. 1. Shorted keypad-replace the control. 2. The control sensed a runaway oven temp. In this case you would have to ohm out the temp probe. 3. The control itself may have a shorted relay-replace the control. The temp probe should ohm at approx 1100 ohms at room temp. Unplug the oven for one minute, if the code returns, first ohm the temp sensor (probe) if that checks ok, replace the control..Catriver

Oven made pop noise now won t heat

It sounds like the control board blew out. I have had a couple of these just blow like that lately. The bake and broil wont work. . Check for any bad wiring but the control board is most likely the culprit.

I was baking and heard a pop sound and saw a spark before the oven lost all power? What happened?

OOOPPs - not good , If you saw or heard a pop noise + spark then something blew or shorted.
If the 'loss' was quiet then a fuse or circuit breaker can blow without noise or sparks.
This oven has 4 Heating elements (2 on Grill) 2 inside oven , as you were baking it sounds like a heating element.
As this is a US model I'm assuming you are close to a SEARS somewhere, because they advertise parts made for Kenmore -- try this link http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Kenmore-Parts/Evaporative-coil-Parts/Model-867813350/0582/1610510/00007536/00001

FRIGIDAIRE STOVE MODEL FEF316BSC I WAS BAKING

Don't worry! Your element probably blew out. It's no big deal. It happens. Call us for parts. 9728590929. It's really a simple repair, probably one of the easiest to do. Hope this helps!

Bake or broil does not work

if an element itself had shorted it would not stop the other from working and you could inspect each element and see blistering as evidence.the pop you heard has to be in common with both elements but not the cook top[burners]so thats going to be the wiring in the back of range, or switching,[thermostat, clock timer or oven selector switch, depends on which model you have]you will have to pull range and remove back pannels.you will find an obivous burn't connection.too repair all new connections must be clean and tight,or will burn again.

Air conditioner pop and then blew refriderant or something

Inspect the capacitor for failure. if it is not swollen or leaky then the compressor might be gone.264f733.jpg

Replaced bake unit in Frigidaire FEF366DCA yesterday and when I turned on to bake @ 350 I heard a "pop" and the oven would not heat past 300 in quite some amount of time. Is it a blown fuse? And if so...

the pop is most likely an electrical short it will be in the back of the stove, that is unless your new element shorted .when cool you can run your hand around it and you should feel no blisters, smooth only.other wise you are doing a visiual inspection and looking for an obivous burnt wire/connection.God bless ,tom

Oven blew a fuse

The POP sound normally indicates a short circuit fault (as opposed to overload) you need to have it looked at by a competent person.
