Is this new installation, or old motion sensor that has malfunctioned? Add comment.
Motion sensor has adjustment dials.
Motion sensor that lights in day has probably gone bad.
Occupancy switch and motion sensor wire the same:

Is this security light the type with the built-in motion sensor?
If so, these also have a built-in photo-eye so that it does not come on during the day.
The photo-eye can go bad where the symptom is "on all the time"
Also some of the motion sensors have a chip inside that "locks on" if you flip the wall switch on and off three times quickly. Once "locked-on" I think you have to turn the wall switch off for at least 1 minute to reset.
