Some errors can just come up and you can just clear them and if everything works fine you don't need to worry about calling a tech. However if clearing it doesn't make the error message go away or you have problems emerge with the copier then you do have a problem.

Title : E001 Error Code That is Not Resetable Error : paper jam When the machine powers
up the E001 error code is displayed but cannot be reset. (Note: The reset
procedure for an E001 code is COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR) Workaround
: In this case, the Main Power Supply PCB Assembly was replaced. The machine
was powered up and the E001 code was able to be reset. The part number for the
Main Power Supply Assembly is FM2-0260-000. Remember, if the fixing unit
circuitry has an open or a short, the code may not reset. Be sure to confirm

how many blinks do you see in the led indicator? if it is 5 blinks then the problem is the printhead. if it is 2 blinks, then problem is in the feeding mechanism. if the problem is the later, then you might have to bring the unit to an authorize service center to have it checked.
