Hi

You have one of these faults:

Faulty FSD (Flame Safeguard Device). When you turn your oven on the FSD lets a small amount of gas through, after about 30-90 seconds the FSD is satisfied and allows more gas to come through......this then moves over to the.......

Oven Thermostat, this will sense the heat from the oven and adjust the temperature accordingly.

If the flame doesn't go high after 60 seconds it's the FSD, if it does but then it goes low and fails to increase then it's the Thermostat.

Either way you need to get a qualified gas engineer to look at it.

I hope this helps

Steve :)

Why do you post a solution that tells us to call a serviceman? There is no FSD on modern ovens, you idiot!

the igniter could be bad if having hard time to relite once lit should stay lit until set temp should relite automatically when needed

The oven on my g70m no gas coming through the grill still operates

Good morning Mark, you most likely have a weak oven igniter. That would prevent the gas valve from opening causing a no heat condition in the oven. Also try the broiler if it's separate from the bake burner.at the top of the oven cavity as opposed to the broiler drawer underneath. That igniter typically gets used less often and takes longer to wear out and the broiler will come on. It could also be a bad gas safety valve but that is an unusual problem. Hope that helps.

Oven and grill do not ignite appears to be no gas coming through either

check with multi meter ur oven safety gas valve and more than likely ur igniter switch? although the oven safety gas valve dont commonly go out it may somehow have shut off the gas as it has an on/off button usually red in color that can be tripped? check to see if its in off position

I have a Whirlpool super capacity 465 gas oven that won't stay lit. It often lights up the first time just fine but then it turns off which is normal but when it tries to relight itself the ignitor...

That sound to me like yall have some carbon buildup on the igniter. On this stove the igniter does 2 jobs. It lights the burner and verifies back to the control that Houston we has ignition. If junk is built up on that ignitor then she won't be sending verification of ignition back to the control. That white residue needs to be removed. NOTE: I don't have your model number I am going by what you describe that this stove is a Direct spark ignition model. If you have a normal ignitor it probably is weak and not drawing 3.5 amps to open the valve. Post a model number (bottom drawer frame)
