Motomaster Eliminator Booster/Jump Pack 750 - Lights cycle, won't boost battery

These machines always suffer with neglect and failing internal batteries. Try charging it up.

Now people use capacitive smart boosters that have no batteries, just a capacitor. The voltage in the battery is stored up in the unit over the space of about 5 minutes and then boosted back to the battery when you turn the key.

It is supposed to have a Lithium battery and they aren't supposed to drain, but my guess is that the control circuit monitors the battery and depletes it very slowly. When was it last charged? I trickle charge my boat batteries for 24 hours once a month. The same should apply for the booster.

Many leads and even board sockets can be purchased at a good electronics store locally of via a company like RS Components.

I have Motomaster Eliminator 2M Series Spotlight/Lantern Combo. The spot light switch quite and I would like to fix it.

Here's what you can do:

  1. Check Warranty: If your spotlight is still under warranty, you might be able to get a replacement switch or have the entire unit repaired or replaced by the manufacturer. Check the warranty information that came with your spotlight for details on how to proceed.
  2. Contact Customer Support: Get in touch with the customer support department of the manufacturer or the retailer where you purchased the spotlight. They may be able to provide guidance on obtaining a replacement switch or offer repair services.
  3. Search for Replacement Parts: Look online for retailers or websites that specialize in selling replacement parts for spotlights and lanterns. You might be able to find the specific switch you need for your model.
  4. Consider DIY Repair: If you're comfortable with it, you could try opening up the spotlight and examining the switch yourself. Sometimes, switches can be repaired or cleaned to restore functionality. However, this approach requires some technical skill and might void any remaining warranty.
  5. Seek Professional Help: If you're not confident in your ability to repair the switch yourself, consider taking the spotlight to a professional repair technician. They can diagnose the issue and either repair the existing switch or install a replacement for you.
Remember to prioritize your safety when attempting any DIY repairs, especially when working with electrical devices. If you're unsure or uncomfortable with any aspect of the repair process, it's best to seek professional assistance.

Motomaster eliminator 3.5m spotlight

Check the voltage with a meter. It sounds like the batt may need to be jolted. U have to use a higher voltage (DC) to jolt a battery.

Lost AC charger and lighter adapter - need replacements

Although the MotoMasters are quite popular and are excellent products in most folk's opinions, parts are quite difficult to find. Complete units are in abundance.

Your charger doesn't have to be branded MotoMaster. And charger of approximately 500 to 750 mA and approximately 14 volts will work nicely.

From time to time Canadian Tire have some parts or open box sales. You might check with them. Hope this helps!
