Everytime my LG Rumour phone is turned off or loses power it takes longer and longer to turn the phone back on. It now takes 45 minutes for the phone to turn itself back on. In the meantime I have an LG screen that turns itself on and off, but nothing works. Hardly noticeable at first, but its become a major problem. I tried letting the battery run out of power and removing the battery, but this has had no positive effect. I would like to eliminate this time delay as the phone isn't reliable at the moment in an emergency as it takes too long to turn itself on.
My name is Tim and I am collection Specialist with Verizon Wireless, I see a lot of phones with problems but not any like this. This phone has truly seen its better days. Take it to a store and have them replace it with a different LG Rumor phone. IF you don't have Total Equipment Protection on your plan, then you are still covered under warranty for the 1 year or 2 year depending on the manufacturer warranty. But if you have Total Equipment Protection then your warranty is good for the life of the contract and you DO NOT have to pay the 50 dollar deposit, replacement should be free. If the Verizon Store is closed by you then call Verizon from a landline phone or another cell phone and they can get one to you within 2 days using priority shipping. If you don't have Verizon, then contact your service provider and speak to their customer service team.

Unfortunately, I bought the phone outright at a Bell Mobility store as I use a pay as you go service.
I contacted LG directly about the problem after receiving the response fromtimthorne911. The company suggested that I had too much information stored on the phone. I was far from the maximum memory the phone can hold so I was skeptical, but I did reduce the items in memory. The reduction of items in memory has solved the problem. My phone now turns on in less than 1 minute. I'm a little disappointed about the memory limitations, but I can live with the restrictions.
