SOURCE: elongated toilet doesn't fit where a round toilet was installed

Hi. There are toilets designed to accept a round seat and there are other toilets designed to accept an elongated seat. The primary difference is that the round seat fits a round bowl and the elongated seat fits an elongated bowl.

I recommend that you return the elongated seat and exchange it for a round toilet seat. good luck

I need a toilet seat replacement of Porcher Veneto Toilet. The part number is 70030-00-001 and I'm told by Porcher is no longer available. They say no other seat fits. Any ideas? Where to find

I had the same issue and basically called every single american standard distributor I could find. I finally found one! They had the gold hinges but I didnt care, it fits and works fine. Make sure you know the part number. I had a good salesperson that knew to look for any color hinge so I had a seat

The hinge part of the toilet seat installed alright---but once the seat was connected to the tank, i tried to open the lid and it just fell off---the quiet close "dowels" for lack of a better...

Hi, Please don't take this the wrong way but did you install the hinges the right way? I fit bathroom suites for a living and have done this a few times wrong by putting the left hinge on the right side and vice verser. Sometimes the instructions are not very clear in explaining which side is left on the seat, as a result even though the toilet seat is closed, the springs are set backwards and are in fact in the up position. Double check the instructions once more, and just have a look on the hinges and seat because sometimes they have a small 'L' sticker on the hinge and an 'L' sticker on the seat and lid to correspond which hinge goes on which side. Hope this is of help to you.

New toilet was installed in my apartment and I don't like the seat. Do you have different seats available? maybe a seat cover?

you can change out the seats any oval should fit an oval toilet and a round will fit a round toilet
just go to your homedepot, lowes, ace, etc. and pick out the 1 you want.

I have a toilet which is a one peice. The toilet seat has come loose and the bolts have dropped to the floor. I can not fit the seat back as the pieces that i would use to tighten the seat are on the floor...

In no case would you ever have to pull a toilet to get to seat bolts. My guess is if you take the tank lid off and look inside there youll see the bolts . If not you can buy another toilet seat with new bolts or just get the bolts to fit your seat and tighten it down.Forget about the old bolts unless they become a problem with the flushing of the toilet. Hope this helps
