Ws-55511 DM 5volts draged down blinking led

I replaced the ps caps and ck the fuses.
I pulled the (PE pin 7) 5v supply and the green led stops after 90 sec.
the DM power sup is 5v reads 1.2 and 3.5v reads .2
when PE7 is puled I get 5.2v and 3.5v
I suspect a short on the 5v but the service manuel I got is lacking the scismatic for the DM.

    Hello ragraf

I got bad news, the DM is viewed as a separate piece of electronics, and the schematic is sold separately for some of the revisions of the DM

Hello,

Did you check the caps on the DM board? They usually go bad after a period of time. Remove the DM board and the metallic cover and there should be 4 to 7 capacitors (There are different revisions of the DM board). Check these caps also, replace if needed.

Thank you,

Ws-55511 green light changed caps. where is pico fuse located ?

There are at least two pico fuses in the DM unit along with the caps; DM is large metal box on left as you look from behind.

Blinking green light that does not stop means problem is in DM unit that is not booting up.

If you have questions let me know.

Power in house was shut off today, when restored, the timer led light by the power switch has been blinking constantly and the power to the TV will not come on...

Thats a common issue for that model which is caused by weak DM capacitors. When the power is down the caps discharge then they cannot recharge when power is restored and the led blinks non stop. Thw WS48511 - WS65511 DM repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com has the caps and the repair instructions which usually solve that issue.

Green light on front of TV keeps blinking after power outage. I have tried powering back off and on and resetting the tv. Nothing works

Thats caused by weak DM capacitors when power is lost even for a minute the caps drain and then cannot charge again when power is restored so the led will blink non stop. The Repair kit called the WS48511 - WS65511 DM repair kit should solve the issue. The kit contains the caps and the cd with repair instructions. The kits available from www.tvrepairworld.com

Green light continues to blink. TV does not power up for Mitsubihi model WS 55513 TV

Howdy,
Try these ;
1. LED does not stop blinking after plug in. Verify the standby supplies, 12-volts at connector KA pin 17, 6-volts at KA pin 18 and the 28-volts at KA pin 19, if the supplies are present suspect the DM PCB part # 934C067001.

2. LED does not stop blinking after plug in. Check C9B01, C9B02, C9B10, and C9B11 (1000 UFD 16) on the DM PCB, if they are bad replace them with part # 181P734030 (680 UFD 16 V).

The board is on the left hand side of TV from the back. It is standing up, in a silver box.

Good Luck, BIG IRISH.

On my WS-55511 TV, after a power interruption, will not power up. All i get is a continuos blinking green light.I tried unpluging the tv several times, no luck.

Good Day,

LED does not stop blinking after plug in. Check for 12 volts at connect or PF pin 10 and 28 volts at connector PF pin 11, (on the board on the right hand side, but on the left side of board towards the back of TV). If the supplies are correct suspect a problem in the DM Assembly (part # 955C230002). Part is not available for replacement.

Check C9B01, C9B02, C9B03, C9B13, C9B14, C9B17 and C9B18 (1000 UFD, 16V, 105C) on the DM Power PCB located within the DM Assembly. If they are bad or not, replace them all with part # 181P734030 (680 UFD, 16V, 105C).

The DM (Digital Module) Assembly is located on the extreme left of the chassis from the back. It is standing in a vertical position. Remove cover and you see the Cap’s in one corner of the inside PCB.

Good Luck, Big IRISH.

often the capacitors will show no visible sign of swelling. 90% of the time the blinking light symptom is caused by those capacitors

The DM board is the one with the digital connectors on the back panel. If you already have it appart, you may as well check the caps on all of the boards. The caps that go bad are typically Jamicon brand caps in 1000 uF and 330 uF values. There are also a couple of 3300 uF caps in the PS that cause problems.
