I couldn't find any information on how to contact Casio about this. The box just said that if you have any problems to press the reset button, and if that didn't work then take it back to the store, not the Manufacturer. I exchanged the HR-8TM, for a new one. The new one does the same thing. I also have another Casio 12 key (HR-8TE) in the house that does it too. Let me know if you find out anything. I will let you know if I do too. :)

I know I have a Casio HR-8TE that does the same thing. In regards to the HR-8TM that I have listed above. I went through all of the instructions in the manual. The manual says to push the reset button on the back. If that doesn't solve the problem take it back to the store that you bought it at. I did that, exchanged it for a new one, and the new one does it too. I have not found anyway of contacting Casio about this. It would be nice if they had Customer Service on their website, or something. Let me know what you find out. I have just been taking 20x15%=$3. and then adding it into my total. This takes more time, though. It's not very effective for my work from home small business. I will let you know if I find out something too. Thanks! :)

I have a Casino MS-80S and yea, the percentage works different. As example to take 100 and subtract 10%, this is what I do: 100 X 10% - and then I get the answer 90 after I press the minus key. To add the percentage instead, 100 X 10% + will give me an answer of 110, after I press the plus key.

It would appear most Casio’s have a similar problem I believe this could be a fault in their programming and am awaiting reply from Casio and some of its distribution outlets.

I sent an email to casio from http://www.casio-intl.com/support/contac... "How to use-contact our technical support" but I have found a friend who has an old casio and it does the same thing so I don't think I will hold my breath for any customer service from Casio. I also sent emails to their outlets Big W and Dicksmith hopefully we stand a better chance dealing with them to put pressure on Casio. It won't matter if you keep changing calculators as long as it is a Casio you will get the same problem and the person behind the counter will thing you are weird and must be wrong as all the calculators are doing the same. The take home message I have learnt is not to trust the reliability of Casio. I guess the biggest problem is Casio have other badges so you won’t known if you are getting a Casio or another casio badged product.

How do I fine the percentage change from .41 to .50?

To find the percentage change, subtract the old number from the new number and divide by the old number. Then to make it a percentage, multiply by 100.

Example: 0.41 to 0.50.

.050 - 0.41 = 0.09

0.09 ---------
------ = 0.21951
.41

To make it into a percentage change, multiply by 100 or move the decimal to the right two places.
--------
21.95121%

p.s. The line over the numbers means that they repeat;)

Need to know whats the percentage if someone makes 15.26 and raised to 17.61?

This is a percentage change you want to calculate. First, subtract 15.26 from 17.61. Then divide the answer by 15.26 and multiply by 100 to calculate the percentage change.

What is the formula to find the percent between two numbers. example: nuts cost .233 last year and this year nuts increased to .332 what is the percentage increase.

Divide .332 by .233, multiply by 100, then subtract 100.

Alternatively, since the increase in price was .099, divide .099 by .233 then multiply by 100.

My calculator will add, but after my total and then I want to subtract, it subtracts by the number I added.

If your calculator is more of an adding machine it works a little bit differently than a calculator. For an example: 10 + 5 - 2 on your machine do the addition of 10 + 5, then to subtract the 2 press 2 then the minus sign to get the total of 13. I hope this is helpful.

Casio seem to have a problem with the percentage key

The issue is the fact that you are adding the %. You need to Multiply it by 1.1 instead of trying to add 10%. This is a wonky equation anyway, because your not specifying what you want to add 10% of. This is why you are getting a weird answer.
