Clean the coil that is next to compressor and should be fine .

the damper vent door that lets cold air from the freezer into the refrigerator isn't opening to let cold air flow,check to see if its iced up,or the cold control that operates it is working

Refrigerator or freezer is not cold enough check this part:

* Check the temperature setting
* Assure that there is enough room for air flow in the refrigerator or freezer
* Check for air flow restrictions in vents
* Test the temperature control
* Clean the condensor coils
* Check the door seals
* Test the door switch
* Test defrost heater
* Test defrost timer
* Test evaporator fan
* Check for a clogged drain tube
* Check for refrigerant leak

ice maker is a stand alone. you take ice out the lever drops (shinny metal rod) and it starts the cycle if it's cold enuff. if ice settles lever drops makes more ice. lightly lifting up the lever till it clicks and stays up turns it off completey

This may be your compressor. You'll probably need a hard start kit put ont he compressor if it's not still under warranty. I hope this helps you out!

Check for door gasket,for leaks.

If the ice build up is only on the back panel of the freezer then you have a defrost problem. Most likely a defrost thermostat or control board/timer. If frost build up is around the walls of the freezer then warm air is getting into the freezer. Most likely cause of this would be gaps in or torn door gasket or door alignment. In some cases the door was left cracked open. If gasket and door alignment is ok remove the frost and see if it comes back.
