This dishwasher has been very good and worekd well consistantly for the past 5 years. Now, water is not used through an entire cleaning cycle. IS there a way I can check it out for a quick solution, and is it likely to be something I need replaced and if so, how much is the potential cost?

Hi olabrk,
If you have a disposal make sure it is clear. You can put some icecubes in it to clean the blades and run some water through to make sure the drain is clear. If the dishwasher will still not pump out all the water check the drain line from the dishwasher to the sink drain for obstructions. If the drain is you will have to check the pump for obstructions. Sometimes glass, popcorn, toothpicks etc.... can get in the pump and prevent it from pumping out. If the pump is clear, then you will need a new pump. Good luck to you.

If it is a wire disconnected to the motherboard all you need to do is solder it back on. You need a solder GUN, not a solder stick. Use solder with resin already in it.
Only do this if you are good with a soldering gun, as if you get too much solder on you will destroy your motherboard.

Try this. From what I have found Maytag discontinued the Repair manual but it appears that all MDB and MDC models fell under this one repair manual.
