HOW TO GET THE BACK OFF

Break it off..........

In order to take the Base Enclosure (Bottom Cover) off, you would have to break it off.

The Acer Aspire 5000 series of Notebook PC's, disassembles from the Top down. When you are done you are looking at an empty Base Enclosure,

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ACER-ASPIRE-3000-3004-ZL5-5000-LAPTOP-BOTTOM-CASE-COVER-LOWER-BASE-3AZL5BATN05-/181127078788

You have to;
Remove ALL power. Remove the AC adapter (Charger), and Battery.
Remove the Harddrive Compartment Cover, Harddrive, Memory Compartment Cover, Ram Memory, Wireless Module, Wireless Antenna wires out of laptop body, Optical Disk Drive, (DVD drive), Display Assembly, (LCD Module), Keyboard Cover, Keyboard, Palm Rest Cover, Motherboard, and so on..........

Then you have the Base Enclosure. (Bottom Cover)

WEAR an ESD wrist strap, and have it's alligator clip attached to a good ground source.

Acer Aspire 5000 series of Notebook PC > Service Manual (Free),

http://www.tim.id.au/blog/tims-laptop-service-manuals/#toc-acer

Go to the paragraph that starts with Aspire 1200. (1200 in Blue)
Drop down to the 6th line (4920G), scroll across; and click on the blue -> 5000

Screen frame broke

Screen frame being the Display Bezel.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01573159.pdf

With the laptop closed, the top cover is the Display Enclosure.
Is it broken also?

http://www.lapzone.com/servlet/the-54572/HP-Pavilion-G70-17-dsh-inch/Detail

Can you say OUCH! That's the cheapest I found, but it was a quick search. Hopefully you'll have better luck in searching.
The HP part number, for the Display Bezel of the HP G70 series, is;

HP 488386-001

The HP part number for the Display Enclosure is;

HP 488379-001

http://www.lapzone.com/servlet/the-54572/HP-Pavilion-G70-17-dsh-inch/Detail

Base Enclosure;
With built-in modem, Digital Media slot, AND -> with HDMI port,

HP 489114-001,

http://www.impactcomputers.com/489114-001.html

Base Enclosure:
WITH built-in modem, Digital Media slot, and NO -> HDMI port,

HP 501252-001,

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ORIGINAL-COMPAQ-CQ70-Case-Bottom-Covers-501252-001-Grade-A-/330628933816?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4cfb0528b8

Hinge Kit; (2 each Hinges),

HP 488384-001,

You have more damage than just the Display Bezel, I feel.
Access what damage you have, and I'll step by step guide you in replacing.

Laptop body got broken

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&lc=en&product=3224052&

On this page scroll down, and click on the blue -
HP Pavilion dv6000 Maintenance and Service Guide

This is a Service Manual. It is in PDF file form.
The computer you are using now has Adobe Reader on it, which uses PDF files.

After you click on the blue link it may take up to 30 seconds, before the first page comes up.
(Manual is downloading in the background)

In the Bookmarks menu to the left, click on the + sign next to -
Maintenance and Service
Click right on - Illustrated Parts Catalog
You are now on Page 65.

(Zoom Out icon ( - ) at top decreases the view size.
Zoom In icon ( + ) increases the view size )

The Base Enclosure is pointed out by the number 16.
Go to Page 75.

Part number HP 431426-001 is this Base Enclosure,

http://www.getpartsonline.com/431426-001.html

Part number HP 432921-001 is this Base Enclosure,

http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-Pavilion-DV6000-Bottom-Case-431426-001-/160895969076?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item257625a734

You have the Service Manual. You now need;

1) Philips screwdriver; No.1 and No.2
2) Jewelers screwdriver set. (You can get these for cheap)

3) Multi-compartment container for the various screws you will remove.
Label each compartment for the area the screw/s come out of.
(Can use a clean egg carton if you need to)

SOME screws look VERY similar to other screws.
Advise do NOT mix them up!

4) Patience. This ain't rocket science, and you can do it.
(Sorry Gort)

5) ESD wrist strap. DO NOT skimp here, and get one.
(Electro Static Discharge)
Average cost is $3 to $6 bucks.

Your body carries Static electricity. Static WILL fry out, (Short Circuit), the delicate hardware components inside a computer.
Wear an ESD wrist strap, and have it's alligator clip attached to a good ground source.

I connect to an unpainted surface, of the metal frame of an open, empty desktop computer case.
(I feel an Anti-Static Mat is unwarranted)
You can set a large metal serving tray, (Unpainted), on the TABLE you're working on; and connect to it.
Or a large metal knickknack. (Unpainted)

When removing the motherboard, it is raised up at an angle on the side of the motherboard. Motherboard is also tilted when being reinstalled.

Removing back cover of hp dv 6915nr

Back Cover?

1) Display Cover: The plastic cover that is on the opposite side of the LCD screen. Sometimes referred to as Top Cover.

Display Assembly is removed from laptop first, then LCD screen assembly is removed from the Display Cover.

2) Base Enclosure: The plastic bottom part of the notebook.
A laptop is disassembled from the Top down to the Bottom.

The bottom 'cover' (Base Enclosure) is not removed first. It is last.

3) There is no back cover per se. Half of the cover for the back (Bottom half) is part of the Base Enclosure. The top half is part of the Palm Rest.

(The back has the Vent in it)

http://www.insidemylaptop.com/remove-replace-lcd-screen-inverter-hp-pavilion-dv6000-laptop/

http://www.tim.id.au/blog/tims-laptop-service-manuals/#toc-compaqhp

[Use the dv6700 service manual. Go down to the subheading HP Pavilion dm1 (dm1 is in blue)
Scroll to the right, click on dv6700. Note that it is a PDF file, and may take up to 30 seconds, before you see the first page come up ]

What is it you are trying to do? What hardware component are you trying to access?
