SOURCE: blades wont engage
check the clutch if it engage then check the cable and belt to if it works make sure all the bolts are tight. usually the belts is too loose or if its a clutch drive maybe the clutch doesn't engage or worn out.
SOURCE: Cub Cadet mower ran and then when I engaged the blades, the motor cut out and will not start.
There might be some gunk in your carburetor. I would try and clean that out and see if that's works for you. Hope this helps!
