I can't figure out how to change the batteries. Do I have to remove the end (cap?)? Nothing is budging at the end. I have had this flashlight for about 10 yrs., so no longer have the instructions nor do I recall how I originally put in the batteries. Maybe I'd be further ahead to go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy a new one(?). I hate to get rid of this flashlight if I can figure out how to get it to work. Can you help me? (I don't have a vise or any other tools like that.) Thank you.

Sprayed penetrating oil all the way around the end cap at seal area. Layed flashlight on it's side on a plastic block & tapped on housing just below the end cap with composite mallet while rotating. Then used aluminum jaws in a vise to hold housing while turning end cap with large pliers. Once cap is off, clean corrosion with automotive battery cleaner & soak inside with more penetrating oil to remove batteries.

The most likely cause would be a disconnected or badly connected connector under the dash from the lighting switch and lighting stalk. It is confusing the Body Control Module which monitors and operates all this stuff on a computer network.
You may need an auto electrician and a pro grade scan tool computer to diagnose.
in the rear lights you may have two bulbs one is the turn signal the other one is stop light / tail light the stop light / tail light has two filaments, one for the stop light (21 watt) & one for the tail light (5 watt) it is possible that the tail light filament is blown, try replacing the bulb to see if that fixes the problem,also check all the fuses as well.......hope this helps......cheers.
Smart move. The blade assembly is almost frozen and the motor does not have enough torque.. You need to remove the blade assembly and completely clean out the bearing and reassemble after the Mr. clean operation. A lite dab of oil is also called for.
If you misspelled frozen and I understand your question right, you have a big problem. Frozen shocks mean your wheels will not move up and down. So when you hit a bump you will jar yourself and your car. You're going to tear a lot up real fast.
First you need to lift the hatch. There are two screws under plastic caps. Remove the caps and you will be able to unscrew these screws. Carefully using a flat screw driver to pry out the tail light assembly. It have to plastic pin that attached to the car body. do not break the pin. After you pry out the tail light assembly, you will be able to replace the light bulb. Replace everything in a reverse order.
