Unlike other leapster games, it does not have an option of creating new profiles, and then when you reach 3 profiles, deleting one. Instead, it allows you to change the name of the existing profile, but all the **** remains. Even if you go into the different items (drawing pages, for example), you can only delete the content of the pictures, not the file name for the pictures. I do not have a manual; perhaps that would help, too, but I cannot find anything on this darn game. Any help would be soooo appreciated :) tyvm
To delete a player profile, go to the player profile screen and press and continue to hold down the following buttons in sequence:
Home
A button
Left arrow
Then, touch the X icon that appears at the bottom of the screen and follow audio instructions.
Note: You can only delete a name when all three name slots are filled.
The above procedure only works on LEAPSTER 2.

Question
How do I delete or change a player name on Leapster™ cartridges?
Answer
It is possible to remove a player once you have added three player names to the cartridge. If there is a name on the cartridge that you want to remove, take these steps.
1- Add new players until there are three players on the cartridge.
2- Once you have three players on the cartridge, an "X" will appear below each player's name.
3- Touch the "X", then touch the name of the player you want to delete. Touch "Yes" to delete the name. Then add a new name, or touch OK twice to go back to the sign-in screen without adding a name. Two names will always remain on the cartridge.
This is a design flaw with leapsters games (apparently nobody thought to think that they do get sold secondhand or passed down in families)
Since you havent specified the system -
LEAPSTER ORIGINAL
LEAPSTER 2
LEAPSTER LMAX
Clicking on any of the above will get you the owners manuals in PDF format.

Got that!!!
Wait for few minutes for the answer!!!!!
Hi,
This information is not available anywhere. :(
However, you can try to reset that would help you to erase the profiles.
Thanks for using Fixya.
Before playing you need to first enter in your name. To enter in your name you point at letters on the screen with the attached pen and then hit enter. You have the option of adding a name, deleting a name.
Do you see anything?
If you do not see that option, i would advise you to call 800 number on the back or if you wish i would be glad to offer you their number.
Thanks for using Fixya.

Amazon relies on its huge databases and there is a principle in
database design called referential integrity. It means that you can't
delete any data because other data may refer to it. Deleting it causes
gaps in data. So if for instance, you buy something from amazon. There
is a link from your sales data to your account data. Delete the account
data and your sales data has no customer to refer to. Bad karma. And
they can delete your record of the sale because then they wouldn't know
how that item was taken from inventory. And the books won't balance by
the amount of that sale. And that's against the law.
So once its in, it ain't coming out.. Kevin
For the Leapster GS
Turn on device. Hold the home and hint buttons down at the same time. This will bring up a setting menu for the device. Change as needed.
Open the game and remove power supply from memerioe this should take all files out

Leapster Learning System Handheld game, not pc
Does not have three slots like other leapster games for profiles. Has simply the one. You can change the spelling of the current profile but may not add a new profile, and even if you change the name of the current profile, all of the stuff they did remains. It's a game where kids keep a journal, so it's all but useless if you can't get rid of the existing journal/contents.
Nevertheless, I tried your solution. No X appeared on the bottom of the screen.
How would I reset? I don't see that as an option at all. Reset on the leapster only resets the console, not the game, and besides, I cannot find the reset button supposedly there to even try.
Here's a problem for an expert: how many times do I have to ask for my money back when no expert has been able to assist me??
Nothing in the link you gave me regarding resetting this particular game, only resetting leapster, which does not address the problem. Thanks anyway.
The game may be played on Leapster, Leapster 2, Leapster L-Max. This game, unlike every other, Leapster game we've gotten (and we've gotten all but 3) does not have a place where you enter in your name, except at the page where you put in your name on the journal.
The directions I've received were for resetting Leapster itself (or Leapster 2 or L-Max), or for removing profiles on games that have three profiles (like every other Leapster game I've ever encountered.)
No, you cannot get game manual very easily doing a Google search. I certainly did that before posting here. The name of the game, which is in the question itself, is called Junie B Jones Journal for Leapster console.
