Dirt devil ce6100

Hi there! Below are step-by-step instruction to assembling the hose to the cleaner so that you may use the attachments. I have also included a link to the instruction manual which gives instructions and illustrations as well. Hope this helps!
1. Put cleaner in its upright position. Connect the upholstery attachment to the trigger adaptor.
2. Remove the dirty water tank door.
3. Insert the hose adaptor into the dirty water tank.
4. Connect the base water supply connector into the fitting on the lower left side of handle facing cleaner. You are now ready to do above floor cleaning!

We have a DE65EK-2 dehumidifier. Currently the device is draining to the stogage tank which needs to be emptied manually. We want to be able to make the hose connection in the rear of the unit and directly...

Just punch out (or cut) the plug that the hose connects to. If not, it will block the water from draining to the hose. Should not need any adaptor.

Please rate 4 stars if this is helpful. Thanks and good luck!

Won't drain from hose port

Either the hose is clogged or the hose connection and interior tubing is clogged. When this happens water is diverted to the bucket. Checking the hose is easy to do. If you find no clogs there, then the clog is in the hose connection on the unit and it's interior tubing.

Turn the unit OFF & unplug it.

Using an appropriately sized, 18" long, plastic Zip Tie, carefully insert the tip of Zip Tie into the hose connection & tubing. Continue to push it in until you reach a bend in the tubing. You will need to gingerly work the Zip Tie past this bend, until it either bottoms out or you run out of usable Zip Tie. Then slowly pull the Zip Tie back out while rotating (twisting) it. This will breakup any clogs. As you reach the inserted end of the Zip Tie, be prepared, as some water may follow.Reconnect the hose to the unit, plug the unit in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. Set the humidity extraction level to 35% or Maximum if you have a manually controlled unit. Allow the unit to run, while you monitor the hose end for water flow. It mat take 10 to 15 minutes for water to start flowing.

NOTE: If you don't have a Zip Tie, you may use something similar ( i.e.a long pipe cleaner), but NO wire coat hangers
.

I hope this information will solve the problem for you. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

The water/mositure won't discharge through the hose into the drain; instead, it collects in the bucket.

Hi! Either the hose is clogged or the hose connection on the unit or the interior tubing to the hose connection is clogged. OR the hose is over 5 feet long. OR the hose is not sloped downward from the unit. The unit depends on gravity to drain thru a hose.

To clear a clog in the hose connection and/or the interior tubing:

Use an 18" long plastic Zip Tie or something similar that is appropriately sized to fit the inside of hose connect and tubing (NO wire coat hangers though). Carefully insert the Zip Tie into the hole and continue to push it in, until you reach a bend in the tubing. You must, gingerly work it past the bend, until the Zip Tie bottoms out or you run out of usable Zip Tie. Slowly pull it back out while rotating (twisting it). This will help dislodge any clogs. When you start to reach the inserted end of the Zip Tie, be prepared for some water to follow.

Hope this helped you to solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

I have an LHD6594EBL dehumidifier that won't run and it keeps saying the bucket is full but the bucket is empty, we have a hose attached and don't use the bucket,

Sue, if you haven't noticed any water draining from the hose recently, it may be that the hose connection and tubing of the unit are clogged and the drained water pressure is causing the unit to show "Bucket Full." Also, if the bucket is not properly in place, whether you use the drain hose or not, it will cause the unit to stop functioning. You know how to correct that, so I won't go into detail on that issue.

To unclog the drain, you will need an 18" long, plastic Zip Tie or something similar (NO wire coat hangers though) that will fit into the hose connection. TURN THE UNIT OFF AND UNPLUG IT. Then carefully insert the Zip Tie and continue to push it in until you reach the bend in the tubing. You will have to carefully work it past this bend, until it either bottoms out or you run out of usable Zip Tie. Now, while rotating it, slowly pull it out and be prepared for some water to follow.

Hope this helped you troubleshoot and solve the problem.

How do you hook the vacumn to the skimmer?

First connect hose to vacuum head mounted on handle. Put vaccum in water. Take other end of hose and hold over return outlet filling the hose with water until the vacuum floats up and all the air bubbles stop bubbleing. When it sinks again, hold your had over the hose and take it to the skimmer. If you have an adaptor plate for skimmer have it already on the hose. If you don't have one, then remove basket and quickly remove your hand and put hose down ito pipe in skimmer. You will get some air and once the pump recovers, and starts pupming, then begin vacuuming.

Had the Northstar 3000 psi Pressure Washer for 2 months and it started leaking oil from the pump during use. Took it to Northern and they are replacing the pump under warranty but said it was likely...

It is easy to check if your hose and quick connects are supplying enough water to the pump. Your pressure washer gallon per minuite requirements are printed on the machine and also on the pressure tips in GPM. Your post indicates 2.5 gpm but check your documentation of GPM. Next remove the tip from the wand and connect your hose with current quick connects to the machine. Start engine and direct the pressure wand into a bucket for exactly one minute. Measure the amount of water in the bucket, it should be very close to stated gallons. Do the same test with tip installed and compare measurement. If pump is starving for water you will not get proper amount of water in the bucket and the water hose will collapse. Two to four gallons of water per minute is not very demanding and should be delivered even with very small opening. You can even just direct the hose into the bucket for one minute and check how much water your hose is capable of delivering. I believe that you will find no problem with water delivery to pump. I would certainly enlighten Northern with your findings and question their evaluation. When you start using your pressure washer again try using it at lowest pressure to get the job done. Lowering the pressure to about 75% of max will increase the life of the pump and engine. Good luck with you pump
