Having worked on hundreds of Nuvi's, the Nuvi 255 is not a Nuvi 760. Screws are hidden on a 2xx series... On the 760, you can remove the back and get to the battery without having to worry about the LCD flex cable(s). You need the right tools too or you WILL damage the case and there's a good chance you'll damage the LCD flex cable when opening the unit. This is NOT covered in the 760 video because its built different than a 2xx unit.
I've received many damaged Nuvi's from customers who tried to follow that video. But good luck!

The 2xx series had a batch with bad batteries and they are replacing them even out of warranty , try your serial number on https://my.garmin.com/rma/recallLanding.faces. See if it is eligible for repair, if not the unit is probably pooched.
