On the temp display it is flashing EE. Any thoughts on what I should do?

Water level alarm fault The alarm lamp will be flashed or display EE

EE mean that the cable between the mainboard and the display have a problem. I think it doesn't affect the coldness of the unit.

There are an explanation manual behind the back bottom panel.

In my case soon after having reset this error, the cable melted and took in fire.

How to check:
There is a black panel under the two drawer with 2 screws (left/right). The board is behind, the cable which melted in my case was a grey one connected to a black one.

an "EE" code means you have an open thermistor. "EC" is a extended compressor run code. typically with the 424 if the thermistors are good, as in no "EE" codes you probably have a refrigerant leak. 73UE is the temperature at the upper evaporator thermistor. 73LE is the temp at the lower evaporator thermistor, 73up is the upper compartment temp and 73lo is the lower compartment temp. the unit probably has a leak in the evaporator/heat exchanger assemblies and needs a refrigeraton system rebuild

An EE error code means that you have loose connections (loose temperature sensor connections) check all the wires for a loose connection

the control board is in the back of the unit there is a panel covering in the middle lower back near the compressorInside your unit on the left side in the lower rear theres a vented piece of plastic pry that off thats the temperature sensor make sure all the connections are tight
If the error does not clear then your temperature sensor is faulty

Check that nothing is blocking air intake openings on oven back or that oven exterior is very hot. Correct. Wait a few minutes and try again. If problem persists, call for service.

Check page 11 in the Operation Manual. Touch STOP/CLEAR pad, and reprogram correctly.
EE 0 Fan lock error Call for service. EE17 Magnetron temperature too high

Touch STOP/CLEAR pad. Wait a few minutes and try again. If problem persists, call for service.

* EE 1 and EE 2: Can continue to use oven before service; however, check food carefully as additional cooking time will be needed.

Any time the EE is flashing, the servicer should be called. When EE is not flashing, check the reason and correct. Service is not necessary.

EE means energy efficiency. hen EE is displayed there can be a defective thermistor or insufficient ventilation.

The following works on some A/C system: "When EE is displayed, press "energy save" and "zone control" simultaneously for about 5 secs"

Try also testing the system in auto mode, check ventilation and if possible test thermistor by reading impedance with a multimeter.

If when EE is displayed the unit also becomes non-responsive and does not turn off, then the problem may also be a defective controller board. Other parts, included the ones mentioned before, must be tested before replacing the control module.

EE is a high pressure error code. The unit may be to small for the room deppending on what temp it is outside.If its over 95.f The a/c is probably overworked.

One way to solve this would be to cool down the coils outside.Spray water lightly on the outside of the unit too cool it down which will bring the pressure down also.

Press < and > or + and - at a time for 5 seconds.Helpful?

What is the name and model number of your unit?

I just called a maytag repair store, and they just had one in the shop, it sounds like the control panel has died, and will need to be replaced. They cost around 60 dollars, + install fee.
