I just got an old (circa 1988!) Sony Triniton TV. Model: KV-2765R.
When I hook the coax cable directly to the TV I get no channels. I then hooked the non-Comcast, but the kind you buy at the store, digital converter to the tv, the one that came wih the old clunker, and it says it has no signal. An antena did not come with the digital box. Either way I get no channels. The TV did not come with a remote, only the remote that came with the digital box. There seems to be no way to autoprogram it, but even without autoprogramming it seems I should be getting at least a few cable channels.
I'm guessing I either need to find a way to autoprogram it or there could be something wrong with the cable input itself? Any ideas??
Thank you!
Make it sure that the coaxial cable has its own signal! if your tv has a raster (sometimes blue) and it says that the tv is good, but if there's no channel at all then the problem is in digital converter or the connection of the coaxial cable comes from..you can also try auto programing but if the problem still occured then contak your cable subscription channel
