Skagen died My Skagen 358lgs died. The repair shop said the watch was "fried". Is there a part I can try to replace or a way I can get a generic movement that fits in the case.
Try sending it to skagen they can fix your watch and you will still be covered under there lifetime warranty! they have a great customer service department.

This back must be ordered from the manufacturer, there are no generic backs. Skagen customer service 1-877-752-4361 or email [email protected] I hope this helps, please have model number ready!
Your watch has lifetime warranty - not the battery. Battery should be replaced as soon as it goes flat. Do not leave flat battery in watch - it may leak and destroy the movement. Pop in your nearest watch repair shop and ask to replace battery. Rate me please.
I have had to replace more glasses in this watch than any other brand over the last two years - It is most definitely a design flaw. The truth is though that you will not need a genuine skagen part. Your local watch repair shop will be able to use a standard 1mm thick domed Mineral Glass manufactured by Sternkreuz for example. It should be fitted by a qualified watch repairer, but you should not need to send it to Skagen. Good luck
you need a special tool to press the back back on. you should take it to a watch repair shop or send it into skagen to be repaired. it wont cost much if anything.
Skagen is very good about doing repairs and very reasonably priced for a replacement clasp Send your watch directly to them. Because of the mesh band on most of their watches a 3rd party repair shop will only send it to them and end up costing you more money and more time.
Here is the repair form- http://www.skagen.com/content/securePdf/SK_Watch.pdf
You need a replacement stem and crown. I would replace the stem just to be sure you arent putting a new crown on a damaged stem.
Sakgen is very good about repairing their watches. Unfortunately this doesnt fall under their warranty but the repair directly through them is an average price for this part.
Generic after market crowns are also available at local watch repair shops. Make sure that if you go this route that you select a shop that can reseal the watch to is water resistance rating so you do not void your lifetime limited warranty on the movement. This mean they must have a pressure testing chamber and be able to supply printed proof of resealing.
