I have exactly the same problem! No other website causes my pc to freeze. I have re-set software, scanned for problems and yet it still freezes.

I have this prob too but it seems its common if you use Internet Explorer as a browser. Facebook prefers Firefox. Sorry I shall just give up using Facebook as I cannot be bothered to load more software just for that. I have a Dell Mini 9 so perhaps it is a Dell prob too.

My Facebook account will not let me logout?so i can close the screen

If you are on your laptop or home computer you can always close out and not really worry about it. But if you are on a shared computer or just don't want people on your Facebook account then there are a couple of things you can try. 1. Check to be sure you have internet. -You can't log out of the website if you aren't connected to the internet. 2. Hit reload in your browser. -Sometimes web browsers fail and need to be restarted. I know that Google Chrome tells you when you are having a problem like that and gives you the option to kill the page or wait. 3. If all else fails, turn it off and then back on. -This is the golden rule of electronics. When stuff starts to go wrong, restart it. Then you can go back to Facebook and see if you are still logged in, and if you can log out then.

It wont let me log off it sends me to the account page on face-book i want to log off help please

Hi,

Try to click the log off button by going to the "Account" button at the top right and clicking the "log off" button in the drop down menu. If this does not work, you can try to auto log off by clearing your browser cache.

In Internet Explorer,
Go to Tools > Internet Options and in the first tab click the "delete" button under the Browsing History section.

In Firefox,
Go to the FireFox button at the top left(version 4.0.1) and hover your mouse over the "History" option and click "clear recent history". Check all boxes except Site Preferences and click ok.

Once done with the above step close your internet browser. Open it back up and you should notice that you are logged off facebook when you go back to the site.

Facebook Problems

Hi,

I don't think this problem with the facebook website. It should be with the browser.
