use the buttons on the TV set. Thats what they are there for. Also, you can buy a universal remote and program it for your TV.

Universal remote alway work only the basic for the tv.Beyond that will have problems or stuck in some input or modes.Sorry i can't help u, because i don't know what is the reaction to ur tv by the universal remote,must use the universal remote again tries all the buttons like video modes or input botton.Or take the battery out like 20 mins of the universal remote to erase ur tv codes enter it again.Tries those buttons u pushes before,see if u can get out the video mode.All else fail.Try website like Remotes.com to buy the tv original remote to use.

You need to change the source (original remote) or the input (univeral remote). It needs to be in TV mode - not video.

Most universal remotes should have a TV/Video button. Look carefully on the remote. Or get another brand remote.

Also depending on your Sanyo model there may be a TV/Video switch on the front of the set. Look for a possible small cover along the bottom.
