If you are looking for some serious sound try using a Rockford Fosgate P3001T Amplifier.. it pushes 3000W Max its a 4 channel amplifier. Or you could go with something small. I have two JL Audio 10s in my car running with a 600W 2 Channel MTX Amp.

What speakers I can wire to my amp? a volfenhag zx-8200 1000 watt amp. Currently 800 watt bose sub bridged to it, capacitor as well. and a 150amp circuit breaker. I have a 14 volt 105 amp alternator.

1. It depends on how many and what type of speakers you run.

It is a 'bridgeable' amp and therefore has a variable number of configurations.

You can run that Bose sub on one channel and twin up. It's not a great idea to have the drivers max near or lower than the output of the amp and puts out serious thump from a 30W cone.

Will the amp blow my speakers?

If you bridge the amp and get 1000 watts RMS and that is split going to two speakers then you will get 500 watts RMS at each speaker. If you have your amplifier on maximum gain it may blow your speakers, not because they are overpowered but because you might run into "clipping" issues running the amp at maximum capacity. Just to be safe I would dial the amp's gain down to 3/4 of the way to full gain. That should give you ample power and keep your amp from clipping and running hot.

What size of fuse do I use

easy divide volts into watts and this will give you the amperage so a 12v x200 watt amp needs a 20 amp fuse

Do i need a amp to connect equalizer to car stereo

hello yes but you will get the same audio output as you would without using an amp iff you are using high watt speakers it would be best to give them a bit of power you may connect the amp in line with the equalizer hence giving them the boost make sure you set the sound levels correctly on your stereo first like ballance both speakers then you can ajust the equalizer with your amp remember 2 /500watt speakers in line will accur a 500 to 1000 watt amp nothing more or you will blow your sound system

I have a 300 watt alpine 4 channel amp powering 4 x 6.5" kenwood speakers. My speakers can take up to 170 watts each. I have to turn my gain up all the way on my amp in order to get a quality bass...

Your amp is overheating as your speakers all combined are 680 watts, double your max output on your amp. Ideally you need a 1000 watt amp to do the job and for perfect sound as you should never have your amp up to max as it is more likely to blow quicker. The 2000 watt amp your are speaking of will do the job perfect, but you need to keep the gain down around 50% as you could blow your speakers. But yeah all together you are right, the 2000 watt amp will stay cool as doesnt have to work nowhere near as hard as the one you have currently.

What to do

well i don't know your budget, but if that's not really and issue, right now at best buy, alpine type E, 10" subs, peak is 750w and rms is 250w, each is 129.99. Alpine type R, 10" subs, peak is 1500w and rms is 500w, each is 199.99. These are the best subs i found at best buy. You could sell your current subwoofers and purchase those, and you'd save space and still get the lows you want. Goodluck

Need to hook up to a 4000 watt amp

Why would you hook up 4000 watt amp to a speaker that has only 1000 watts. Try a 800 watt amp instead unless you just dont want the spealers.
