Some few days ago I finally got my N5 Card to play NDS roms. It didn't come with a CD or instruction booklet, but the seller sent me an e-mail with Version 1.20 Kernel. Every game I downloades worked nicely, except for a few exceptions that worked too low or simply cut off while playing. Some days later a game is rarely loaded correctly. I tried formatting my 2GB Sd card many times, and installing different versions of the Kernel and at first, almost every game worked nicely, but then the game stops when I enter some game menu or, for example, in the Pokémon Platinum game, when I enter a house or something, it stucks in a white or black screen, or simply, while pressing Start upon every opening screen on games, the game is also stucked. This happens with almost every game now.
Your help will be really appreciated.
Does your ds do that with shop bought games? if not then sounds like you got a duff n5 cart with probs, i would return it pronto 4 money back if can. there a lot of fakes flying around. place i go is www.dealextreme.com. i get dstt carts off there all day long, cost me less than 5 gbp each and free shipping, and never had a prob with any of them.

If this is a n5 card you can visit the n5 web site and download new software for free all you need to do is clear your sd card toataly and reinstall the required software from the n5 site
Then it will work perfectly.
1. Download the system file in .zip format from the manufacturers web site (or find the CD that came with the card)
1a. Click on the .zip file to open up the contents.
2. Plug in the memory card to the USB port on the computer using the adaptor provided.
3. Copy the contents of the newly opened window (or the files from the CD) on to the memory card.
4. Search the internet and find the games you want (they will be .zip files too so double click on them once they're on your computer and you'll see what's in them). If you don't know where to find them just search Google for "NDS ROMS"
5. Copy the files that end .nds to the memory card attached to the USB port.
6. Unplug the memory card from the PC.
7. Plug the memory card back into the game adaptor.
8. Plug the game adaptor into the NDS.
9. Switch on the NDS and enjoy.
ok well you have to go to any rom site i use Nds-roms.com thats like the best site for ds roms and extract them to the root of your micro sd once you have downloaded them then just drag them out and drag them in its pretty simple hope it helps
erm..well im no pro but you could try the instructions guide or manual for more information.
if that doesnt work try taking it, blowing the game, and putting it back in so its clean, well hey it works for me
Torrent format files are only links to the file real location just to use them in a torrent client to download the real files.
A ROM file size fluctuates from 4 to 128MB and can be found compressed in rar or zip format so you need a software to take out the ROM file usually with the file extension ".NDS ".
listen guys, if u have n5 and u are using a 4gb SDHC you need to upgrade the firmware to 1.18 which is the latest right now. I had the same problem, updated the kernel and it works dam good. Here is the link.
http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/
click on N5 and download the v1.18
try doing the same method for r4 but use the r4 kernel. Having the latest kernel can save u lots of problems.
found solution to R5:
download latest firmware (1.19 at present) and unzip
format MicroSD to Fat or Fat32
Copy firmware onto MSD in this order ONE BY ONE !!!!!!
This step is very important!!!!
1. DS_MENU.DAT
2. _AXMENU.DAT
3. _DS_MSHL.DNS
4. _SYSTEM_ folder
5. moonshl folder
Then load your .nds files into the root.
I've had absolutely no problems with this card so far and if
installed correctly it works brilliantly!!!
