The TV shows a lock on the top of left-hand corner when switched on. I dont know how to unlock the TV. The TV-guide does not adress this symptom. Do I need a code to unlock the TV?
Hi all you Telefunken TTV-215 owners. My tv did this to. Panasonic in Bloemfontein helped me by phoning Telefunken and getting back to me within 10 minutes. All you have to do is turn your tv on and then press and hold the F button on the remote and while doing this press and hold the MUTE button also. If this doesn't work try olding down the display button on your remote for +- 5 seconds. If still no results try phoning your nearest Panasonic dealer.
Keep display button on remote in for 45 seconds
The lock displayed in the upper left hand corner is an icon which is displayed to let you know that this is the point when you start keying in you remote control code. Try holding down the TV button on the remote control and quickly key in either code 0715 or 0714. Yes, this tv set has a 4 digit code. Do not take too long to key it in. You only have so many seconds. I know I purchase this set from a used store along with a universal remote and each time my batteries run out I follow the steps I just gave to you.

CANT FIND THE DISPLAY BUTTON AS BUTTONS ON REMOTE ARE FADED
I have a red key on the left hand bottom corner of the screen and no picture. None of the remote buttons remove the key or seem to work.
The lock in the upper left hand corner reflects the tv code that will be locked in the tv set. I found out by purchasing a univeral remote that if you hold down the TV button on the remote and quickly key in 0715 or 0714 it is the codes that programs your tv remote. At least this is how I programed my remote. Also, I had to do this each time the batteries ran out.
My grandchild locked my tv and I can't get it unlocked. The screen is blue with a red lock in the bottom left hand corner!
