Syntax LT26HVE 26 in. HD-Ready LCD Television Logo
Anonymous Posted on Aug 03, 2013

Olevia 32in tv doesn't turn on and blue power light is off. The power plug is very loose. Before I would wiggle the power cord and it would come on. Now tv doesn't function at all I took the panel off the back of the tv and can see that the piece the power plug goes into is loose from the board it's supposed to be connected to. How can I fix this?

U tries it with another new A/C power cord yet?Yes?It still have the same problems?Re glue the power socket plugin to the pc board and resolders the three prongs of steel connections pins again for electricity conductivities to the pc board. Now the tv should work again.

SOURCE: syntax olevia lt32hv 32 inch lcd tv. power surge now no picture

The electronics are known to go bad with these TV's, and I'm looking to buy someone's junk TV that has a good screen, rather than have to throw it out.
(So if anyone is out there with a 532-B12 that isn't working, send me a message!)

Yours might be worth fixing - however I know sadly that parts are nearly impossible to get for these TV's, and the manufacturer is virtually impossible to contact.
If you DO manage to contact anyone (manufacturer or otherwise) who can source or supply parts, PLEASE do let me know - it's been nearly impossible for me, and I want to replace my cracked screen in my TV.
If you can't, please let me know - I'll gladly give you a few bucks at least to salvage the screen from your TV, to transplant into mine, rather than turning it into junk on your curb.

SOURCE: Olevia Hi Def tv 242TFHD, won't turn on. Power

yes the capacitors your looking for are a 1000uf , 1500 uf , and on the other side of the heatsink a 680 uf. the tops will be slightly bowled. replace those with same type !not brand!, and youll be happy.(same thing happened to me, less than 2 years old also).

Olevia LCD HDTV 242tfhd will not turn on.

See solution above (from John Adams) if that doesn't work it may be the power board which is available on ebay for $69 incl. shipping. Good luck.

I have an olevia tv model number 542-13-11 and it will not turn on. Any suggestions would be appreciated. [email protected]

do you get a blue light on ? if you do that means you have power so..it could be the main-board is bad on the television. But if you have no blue light on the front of the television then you have no power. You could try switching the power switch on the back of the television several times and see if you get any type of blue light on the front of the tv. If you don't then try connecting the power cord to a power strip or straight to the wall.. if you still don't get power try disconnecting the power cord from the television overnight and then plug it back in and see if you get any sign of power.. if still no sign of power then the television power supply is bad and will need to be replace or repair..

Since the manuf. of OLEVIA is out of buss ..you have this 3rd party repair center that is able to provide you with a repair quote call this number 866-965-3842 the company is called Amergence Technology who is able to repair and service all OLEVIA HDTV products..

Olevia 32in" no power at all

After taking the screws out and removing the back, you will see a power supply(where master switch and cord connector are). Remove the 4 screws on the aluminum cover plate to gain access to the fuse. Using a voltmeter, with the power on and switch on, measure the voltage on each side of the round fuse located just behind the cord connector. If voltage is 0, fuse is good. If voltage between 115 and 125 V, replace fuse or have fuse replaced. I think it is a 6.3Ah 250V class fuse that is soldered into the board. IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH SOLDERING TECHNIQUES AND PRECAUTIONS, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DO THIS. IF YOU ARE NOT FULLY AWARE OF ALL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS NECESSARY TO MAKE THIS REPAIR HAVE A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN DO IT FOR YOU!!!!!!

If a new power supply is needed, contact me and I can point you in the right direction.
