Trying to put I-DVD movie on my digital photo frame

I think I follow what your asking, so I'll do my best.
It reads that you want to play a movie you have on a flash drive through a digital picture frame.
Have you tried copying the flash drive to the internal storage and them playing the movie?
I think the biggest part of the problem is that the picture frames aren't capable of playing full movies, just slide shows. And any sound it has is on a separate section; not truly "linked" like a DVD or computer is. Picture frames are pretty much one trick ponies.

If you are trying to play music, then there could be only two problems.
1. Some DVD-RW can unintentionally trick you into thinking that they can play music, if inserted into the right machine. But really what it might really mean is that it can transport music, not play it.
2. The format of the file that you burned onto the disc may not be compatible with the type of DVD-RW that you have.

If you are trying to put an actually DVD/Movie onto the disc, then it is more than likely a format problem. I imagine that it may be really hard to get a video into the correct format so that it can be played on a DVD-RW.
I assume that whatever you are putting onto the DVD-RW is completely original. If it is not (such as a movie you got offline) then copyright laws will take all happiness out of your life.

it's because you are using cd to burn the movies on to and not dvd. your dvd will only read movies from dvd. I know it seems like if you put movies on a cd it should read in a dvd player, but since its not on dvd disk, then it will not play.

Try Exporting to a Digital Video Format and having Windows Media Player, Nero or another program burn it.

A remote for a digital photo frame? Are you sure it is an Omnitech Photo Frame? Mine did not come with one, but here is what you can do. Just load your pictures onto an SD chip and put it in the slot in the back of the frame. Plug in the power cord and then press the exit button on the back to get out of their sample pictures. Just play around with the OK - Exit and arrows on the back of the frame and you will be able to set up a slide show with the pictures from your mem chip. It most likely has something to do with the way set top players store certain things in memory. have you ever noticed that if you pop a dvd out while watching then put it right back it, that it will resume? try putting another dvd in then putting the picture dvd in and see what happens.

If you burnt a DVD + , try getting a DVD - and burn to that or vice versa. Some DVD players play both the DVD + and the DVD -. Other DVD players will only play one of the two types of discsl
I burn all mine to a DVD +.

My Emerson won't play anything except DVD Movies, never has, wasn't suppose too. Make your movies in DVD Video format and it will read them fine (unless it's broke). I make movies all the time and play them back in mine. It reads DVD-R, DVD+R, and in duel layered. It will not read RW disks!

Man I've every problem you can imagine with DVD Players. I've found when the disk gets stuck, as long as it's not jammed. You can turn the unit off or unplug it. Plug it back in but DON'T TURN IT ON! Instead hit the eject button and the drive should open the drive without trying to read the disk.

You need to convert the .avi files to the MPEG format with software. Just renaming the file will not work.
