Starts moving for a few seconds then stops and the error code e1 comes up
Trimline treadmill starts up then code E2 comes up, and the display shuts down.
Any ideas???
For the machine that starts up then stops soon after. Check the speed sensor to make sure it is within 2 credit cards(flat side) distance from the front roller (magnet). Then check the sensor wire harness to make sure it is fully seated on the lower control board.
For the other 2 machines that shut down after being used for a while, check for speed sensor wire harness loose connections but your walking deck and belt may be badly worn causing to much amp draw on the drive motor. This excess friction in turn causing the treadmill to go into E1 shut down.
The problem is the encoder... It could be dirty or the magnet fell out of it's position from the wheel and it has no reading . Look for a sensor at the place where the strap from the motor turns the cylinder( this is the place for your encoder sensor) that turns the walking belt.
Your problem might be that a magnet has fallen off. Here's an illustrated guide that should make repairing it easy: http://fixmytreadmill.blogspot.com/2010/10/how-to-fix-treadmill-e1-error.html
Good luck.

I have recently started having the same problem. If I reset it10-20 times it will finally start.
I'll be running for a mile or two and then it just stops and gives me the code: E1
Blows hot air, does not get cool then switches off and displays E1 message
