Skylink has two lines of DIY security system, SC-100/SC-1000 and AM-100/ML-100. The remotes for the two systems, such as keychain remote or keypad remote, are interchangeable but the sensors are not 100% compatible. If the wrong sensor is used, it may still be possible to program into the system but it may operate abnormally.

From the description of the symptom, it is likely that wrong sensors are used in the AM-100 system. Check the accessories model number whether it is for SC or AM/ML system. Otherwise, make sure that only accessories from the original factory package are used.

For door/window sensor, the SC model is bulky and consists of one sensor body and two magnet pieces. The AM/ML model has one piece of magnet built into the sensor body. The other sensors are similar in appearance for SC and AM/ML model but the AM/ML sensors have the "AAA+" marking.

Nissan's 3003 pathfinder ,after changing suvs battery the doors lock OK and panic buttons work ,but the remote start doesn't work?

G'day mate , ussually on these latter model cars when the battery is changed you should use a small battery on little leads around 5Volts on the leads to keep the memory called the KAM ( Keep Alive Memory ) going if it has not then the computer may have lost / misplaced it , try the reprograming schedule that should be in the handbook for the remote start if it has one , hope this helps

My thermostat displays E What does that mean?

Hi, that is the indication for "Error" and you should first replace the (2) AA batteries in the thermostat, (even if you just replaced them recently) and then using a small paperclip, reset the thermostat, by inserting the unbent end of the paperclip into the reset hole next to the keypad.

Be advised that this will reset the thermostat to the default temperature and time cycle settings, so you'll have to reprogram the unit, once you've reset it. With your unit, you only need to set a weekday setting and one for each of the weekend days.

Here's a copy of the instructions for your use in resetting and reprogramming the thermostat, once you've replaced the batteries.

You can also contact Hunter tech support, should the above info not get your thermostat back in working order by calling them at 1-888-830-1326, from 8 AM to 5 PM Central Time.

I hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

Hello, I just purchased a GE SImon XT system with two motion detectors and a smoke/temperature increase detector. I live in a very small house and don't need more. Everything is hooked up and works...

Clarence,

If the problem is the Communication Failure, try to reprogram the Home Security System. The codes that you need are indicated in the user's manual. If reprogramming the Simon would not resolve the problem, try to get the master code from the manufacturer.

Reprogramming the device should resolves the issue.
