No sound is coming from wii but I have sound from the remote. what could be my problem.

Press a button on the Wii Remote, and if the lights blink, but don't stay on, then it might have a problem connecting to your Wii and you may have to re-sync it. If the lights do not come on at all, try changing the batteries to a completely new pair. If the lights still do not come on, part of the Wii Remote may be damaged and you may just have to use a different one.

There are two ways to sync the Wii remote with the Wii console after pressing the red sync button like you did:

1) Press the "1" and "2" buttons on the Wii remote until the lights begin to flash. This method provides a temporary connection to the Wii.
2) Open the battery cover on the Wii remote and press the red button next to the batteries. This creates a permanent connection or "pair" between the Wii remote and the Wii console.
Based on your description, it sounds like you are using method #1. In order to power on the Wii when the Wii's red light is on (meaning the machine is turned off) and start playing games like you want, method #2 must be used.
Imagine method #1 as "guest mode". If a friend comes over with their Wii remote and wants to play a game, you would open up the game first, use method #1, and your friend would temporarily be connected to the Wii. Using method #1 is like "owner mode" that lets the Wii remote turn the console on and off and always stay connected to it.

please check your cables and make sure that they are on the right ports. simple solution. nothing wrong with your wii. New Tv can be a little confusing. remember just keep your wii on and test the ports till you get the right ones. If other devices are working such as dvd player then you need to replace the cables

On a Xbox 360 theres a little swapping button to use controller at a friends house. Maybe theres on a Wii?

Tilt Problems

Sounds like it's not synchronizing with the infrared bar. That might've come loose. Double check to make sure that's plugged into the Wii. If that's not connected the Wii Remote will not stay on because it's not connecting.

Okay, on the front of the wii open the door where you'd put in an SD card, and take the battery covers off the remotes so you can access the reset buttons on both the console and remotes. Then press the red reset button on the wii and then within a second or two press the ones on the remotes. This should connect your remotes to your wii.

Isn't there a menu for your remotes...my 5 year old likes to jack with the Wii alot and I have to "restore" it frequently...try it....
