Where was the motor to be used so it needed a cover, health and safety issue only the moving parts that can trap your fingures or grab your hair need to be covered, and if made of steel they need to be earthed, other way to make was to hinge the cover from a base that is made to completely surround the motor and use 3 screws to secure or aslide bolt but you need to let the motor breathe as it will burn out or catch fire with the heat generated by the motor

The starter in my 92 sonoma will not come out. after removing the two bolts holding it in place there is not enough clearence for it to come out of its housing

Depending on the motor there will be a sheet metal cover in between the motor and the trans. This is usually held in place by four bolts that thread into the transmission. There is also usually a couple of support braces that run from the engine to two of those bolts, again depending on the motor. Those braces and the sheet metal cover will need to be removed. The starter will then drop out.

Hey i have a Rheem 71-40D, it popped a breaker the other night an now it wont come back on after resetting the breaker. what can i do?

Hi, W/D here.
Trip your breaker to OFF. Remove the upper sheet metal cover on the side of the water heater, and peel back the insulation. Inside, you'll see a white plastic cover, that covers the wiring terminals. In the upper middle of the cover, you'll see a hole, with a red button behind it. Use a screwdriver to press the button (this is the reset button for the thermostat). Replace the insulation and sheet metal cover. Reset the breaker. Listen at the tank for the sounds of the water being heated up, and, after about 30 minutes, you should feel the hot water outlet pipe getting warmer. If the water does not heat up, you may have either a bad thermostat, or bad electrode(s). If you need further help in diagnosing the electrodes, you need only to re-post to FixYa, and we'll continue.
Thanks for using FixYa, and please rate this carefully hand-crafted solution! Thanks.
Best regards, W/D--

Need motor cover for powermatic 66 table saw

I have seen a "buy it now" on Ebay for such a thing. Someone making a vacuum formed generic cover. Looks like it would work, even if it looks like a bubble-boy-solution.
Another solution I have seen is a wooden replica with louvers for ventilation.
Sheet metal would be a solution if you have a break and press to properly form, other wise it looks like you banged it our with a hammer and scrap metal.
I need the same thing and will probably to the wood with a paint that hides the fact...

We have a ge microwave. Sparks came out of

Quite often this is due to grease or food particles stuck to the inside of the oven or stuck on or behind the mica waveguide cover.

The waveguide cover is usually about the size of a playing card and often held in place by a plastic rivet.

Sometimes it is the ceiling of the oven.

Your owner's manual may address this. You can download GE owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

It can be fragile, and the metal edges of the oven behind it can be sharp, so be careful!

The cover and the metal behind it should be cleaned with a mild, non-ammonia cleaner.

If the cavity metal of the oven is chipped or charred, it will have to be sanded smooth and clean.

Then you can apply some high-temperature appliance paint, available from places like Wal-Mart or Lowe's.

If your waveguide cover is burned, it will need to be replaced.

Lg microwave

Microwave ovens do not utilize or emit ionizing radiation, so the only risk of leakage (if present) is a burn hazard.

I think you are instead experiencing arcing.

Quite often this is due to grease or food particles stuck to the inside of the oven or stuck on or behind the waveguide cover.

The waveguide cover is usually about the size of a playing card and often held in place by a plastic rivet.

In some models it is a larger stirrer cover type made of thicker plastic in the ceiling of the oven.

It can be fragile, and the metal edges of the oven behind it can be sharp, so be careful!

The cover and the metal behind it should be cleaned with a mild, non-ammonia cleaner.

If the cavity metal of the oven is chipped or charred, it will have to be sanded smooth and clean and dried thoroughly.

Then you can apply some high-temperature appliance paint, available from places like Wal-Mart, Lowe's or Builder's Square.

If your waveguide cover is burned, it will need to be replaced. It provides important protection for the magnetron.

Is the Advantium Mod: SCA1000HCC03 the same as the SCA1001SS?

They are indeed the same bulb, a 10W halogen. Care must be taken not to touch the lamp, as the oils from the skin will shorten its life. In many recent models, the oven must be removed from the wall (a two-person job due to safety concerns) and the cover must be removed. The manufacturers consider this a "technician-only" type job to lessen their liability. You can find helpful exploded view diagrams of both ovens and order the bulbs here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383
