Hello everyone. The dial on my microkorgXL which changes the operations of the knobs does not work, is it possible to fix this? Without it I can't change anything or use the on-screen editor. I haven't opened it yet but it's strange how it's the only thing that doesn't work on this keyboard. Thank you for any help.

Sounds like a bad rotary encoder (the part that the "dial" is attached to"). If the circuit board or solder is not cracked in that area then that is likely the problem. You could find the part at mouser.com (about $1) and would need desolder the bad encoder and solder the new one in place or get the whole PCBA(printed circuit board assembly) from Korg.

Someone spilt half a pint of lager over my Mackie 1604 Vlz3. The desk operated for an hour after but gave some noise so I switched it off. I cleaned off all the surface fluid but some of the knobs, faders...

These units are not the easiest to open up without damage. The lager has likely evaporated and left behind some residue. Yes the pc board it attached by allen screws. Each control must be removed as well. This unit requires a complete clean with an electronics wash. It is possible that there is some corrosion as well. Please have this cleaned professionally and checked. It is in your best interest in the long run.

The wiring is messed up the volume knob does not work right

If nobody has changed the wiring in this guitar, suspect either a broken wire or possibly a cracked resistance element in the volume pot. This can happen if the knob on it takes a blow.

How to get the effects to work on the mixer

This is in general for Behringer mixers since you did NOT tell us a model number...

To use the effects you adjust the FX knob for EACH channel for the amount of the mic or input you want to send to effects from that channel. This is the "send" mix.

You dial in one of the effects based on the list near the effects selection window with the selector knob and the number will change and start flashing. You press down on the selection knob which will enter the new effects number and the number will be solid and not flashing.

Then there is a knob to select how much of the OUTPUT of the effects you want to go to the main and sometimes one for the amount to the monitors.

That is all there is to it. The effects can be gated by a foot switch input if you desire.

It is a good idea to include a model number as your thing is posted as if it is a PMP3000 mixer.

Hello, My robot will not tune. I pull out the knob, 8 red lights come on, strum the strings, nothing happens. It worked the first day, and on the second day, nothing. It's fully charged, tuning knobs are...

This is one that you'll have to take to a Gibson dealer- not a lot known outside of them, parts aren't readily available. You may need the hardware replaced

Cyber Twin selector knob.

The selector knob may be a potentiometer or a rotary impulse giver device. In any case, it looks like the internal contacts are either dirty or oxydized so the value is changing in an erratic way which causes the unit to skip several presets at a time.

It would require a skilled technician to disassemble and clean the controller (if it can be disassembled in the first place), otherwise you will probably need to replace the preset selector knob entirely.

Faulty effects behringer djx700

The effects on the PMP powered mixers flash UNTIL you push in on the selector knob. This way you can dial in the next effect number and then push in later to activate when you want it... Could yours possibly be the same technique?
