The main cause of slow printing is due to a bad print cartridge. To troubleshoot this please remove one of your cartridges and see if your printing speeds up. If that does not work. Replace the cartridge and remove the other cartridge. If your printing speeds up. That print cartridge is at fault.

the print file detail may be multi-layered may be too much information in print job- your printer memory may not be adequate, you may be printing through a slow network, you may be printing through an older print server which is as slow as parallel port printing or you may be printing through your parallel port which is slow.

Remove both cartridges, switch off printer and then on. After cartridge holder comes to the center install both the cartridges. Then it will print the Alignment page.
