Processing time on the computer system is not included in the print speed. The several factors where printing is slow are mentioned below:

    Step5: Enable High Speed
Open the printer driver from printers, printer and faxes or Devices and Printers folder and check whether the high speed is enabled in speed and progress
    Step6: Other Settings
Check for other settings as well in speed & progress for better printing speed
    Step7: Spool folder
Create new folder of spool on the hard drive and point the driver to it

Canon image class 3010 slow printting

Hi there:
The main cause of slow printing is due to a bad print cartridge. To troubleshoot this please remove one of your cartridges and see if your printing speeds up. If that does not work. Replace the cartridge and remove the other cartridge. If your printing speeds up. That print cartridge is at fault.

Why does processing job take long?

the print file detail may be multi-layered may be too much information in print job- your printer memory may not be adequate, you may be printing through a slow network, you may be printing through an older print server which is as slow as parallel port printing or you may be printing through your parallel port which is slow.

Slow printing

Remove both cartridges, switch off printer and then on. After cartridge holder comes to the center install both the cartridges. Then it will print the Alignment page. After alignment page prints place the Alignment page on to the scanner and press SCAN button as mentioned in the Alignment page. After completing the scan try printing. It will print the usual speed.
Note: For the alignment process both cartridges should in good working state

Printing in color on my Lexmark printer is very slow. This is a wireless printer and is not so slow on black and white printing.

Printing in color is always slow vs. printing in B/W. If your printing color with the highest resolution setting, it will print really slow. You can adjust the resolution settings in Printer Properties for the Lexmark. If you want faster print, select a lower resolution.

Slow Printing

You need to change the pickup roller. The rubber dries out and it is not able to pick up the paper quickly. I had this problem with our printer at work. We changed the rollers and its printing like new again.

Canon 3300i prints / process very slow

These machines can print slowly for a varity of reasons. First and foremost is using the incorrect driver. The correct driver can be downloaded here:

http://www.usa.canon.com/opd/controller?act=OPDSoftwareAct&fcategoryid=2275&modelid=6349

Also slow printing can be a symtom of a hard drive about to fail (e602 codes).
Fastest printing speeds can be achieved using the following basic assumptions:
1) The copier is printing thru a standard cat5 cable; not thru the parallel port.
2) The network the copier is on is healthy and operating normally.
3) The network settings on the copier are configured correctly.

I am a Canon trained authorized tech on these machines and have been working in the field on the ImageRunner 3300 series since their release. I'm not sure if a ram upgrade is available but I haven't installed one in the six plus years of servicing this machine to fix a slow print problem.
