You may have a connection to your network already saved. Go into settings > wireless. Tap and hold on your network and select "Forget Network". Also note that if you have only WPS or a pin for authentication to your network this will not work on a tablet. You need to enabled WEP, WPA, or WPA2 with a password
You should be familiar with Android. Here's a general suggestion.
Go into your settings and go to wifi. There should be a check box or button there for changing between WEP and WPA. You should be able to make that change when you touch the scanned network you want to join. Your tablet should list every one it finds. If you already have your network selected, just touch "ignore" that network and start over again. Without knowing what version of android your using, it's hard to be more specific than that.
I see three points: 1. check if the password of the router is the same you have signed in the wifi-account of your tablets - it's typical that a wrong password is prompted with no error message. 2. check if the wifi-protection of your router has the same type (WPA, WPA2) as your tablets use 3. check if the router accepts new wifi-devices, sometimes there is a checkbox "only known devices can access via wifi" greetings, bernd-steffen
This tablet is running Android ICS. If the wireless you are connecting to is using WPA or WPA2 security you will need to set it to WEP or none for your tablet to work. This is known bug.
I picked 1 up for the first time and connected in 2 minutes.
In settings page where you add a wireless connection, you will need to know..
Security type, mine was wpa2 ( may be wpa/wpa2/wep)
SSID, your network name that is transmitted, mine was default
password, whatever the wireless password you chose with wpa, if you have wep, it gives you a pass key, you will need to log onto your router to get this
