F-05 The cycle has stopped mid-wash and the code F-05 is flashing on the display. What does this mean?

F05 machine means "Pressure switch jammed"

Try first cutting power to the machine for two minutes, if that reset the code, then the problem was temporary.

If not :

Check if the machine drained, or if water is not being drained.

If drain system works .take off the the lid , locate the switch, it must have a small hose attached.
Remove the rubber hose attached to it, and unlock it by blowing into the hose.

If the water does not drain, this will also cause the pressure switch error.
In this case check the drain hose , and the drain pump.

Finally, ta faulty timer control board can cause the error, you test the control PCB if lid switch and drain system are OK.

F-- 05 means ---------------- Water Temperature Sensor Error
If during the water heating step in wash cycle, the water temperature sensor (NTC) value is out of range, or the heating element circuit has failed, the "F/05" error code will be displayed ----------------- to resolve the problem ------------- Check the Water Temperature Sensor, Heating Element and Element Relay CheckconnectionstotheSensor,HeatingElement and Relay

Had the F-05 error displayed on our hotpoint aquaius washing machine. Disconnected drain hose only to find it blocked. pushed our gargen hose as far in as I could, turned water on fully and it was unbelievable what came out of it after only 3 years. Thick black hardened sludge! Washing machine working fine now. Hope this helps
